The Carousel Behind
Hello Hello! I am the Carousel Kathryn, of Carousel K Photography. Born and raced in the foothills of North Carolina, I am an Aquarius sun, Libra moon, Libra rising. Meaning I live in space 24/7. (Do with that what you will.)
I have always been a creative but never found my thing. I've done it all and had more jobs than I can count. That is until 2020 when I picked up my first camera and started shooting cars and thus Carousel K. Photography was born!
I love speaking, despite my inability to produce words a lot of the time (that's the triple air in me, stuck in my head). My photos quickly became the voice I needed and the voice I wanted to share with others. With my photography, I hope to share the real raw essence of people and the parts of their souls that words cannot express....
Here at Carousel K. Photography, we are real, we are raw, and we are scary!

I wrestled for 5 years in middle and high school.
In my adult years, I've filled the void of wrestling with rock climbing, and boxing!
A lot More About Me
New years of 2021, I had a bit of a menty b as one might call it. After years of sweeping things under the rug, I cracked. I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and OCD, amongst other things. I've spent a lot of my life hiding the "broken parts" and masking it with perfection. After those days in 2021, I was unable to hide it anymore. I snapped but I also realized how important it is to share it, and how freeing it was to embrace it.
In late 2021, I created the Scary Stories Project. With this, I have shared a multitude of stories from people who have faced the scaries of life head-on and come out on the other side!
From this, I have grown to expand far beyond my once-start in automotive.
I shoot almost anything and everything but I specialize in the people who aren't scared to be seen!
Photography was made to be emotional. To pause time and hold the emotions of every captured moment.
So let's share some real, raw, scary emotions together!
